Alfie Comic Strip...out in the neighborhood! Final Color!

Here's the final cartoon! And for any Alfie fans out there, as a bonus, I'm including the final colored cartoon without the word balloons! Sometimes as an artist you spend a lot of time drawing and coloring something that in the end winds up getting covered over by something else such as a word balloon, credit box or whatever else would get dropped on top of it. The good thing that I like most about doing the lettering in the computer is that I can tweak the text at some point in the future or even rewrite the whole gag to make a new cartoon! Remember you can click on the images to see them bigger!

this looks great Scott!

I think you've got your legs under this strip now!

Thanks Jamar. Still feel like I'm working out the kinks on it. It's hard to do this in a strip format. It's yelling at me for a longer comic book format. Though it's building gags for me that maybe I can work into the comic. The best part of it is that I'm able to work out the coloring scheme and the look that I want the thing to have.

Nice comic Scott, it's good to see more of your work since you last showed us in class.

Hi Josh! Good to hear from you again. I get progress reports from Manley on how you all are doing. Thanks for the nice comments. Alfie is coming along as fast as I can do it. My other work is KILLING me right now. The Power Rangers stuff for Disney was a bear with a bad timeline to do it in. I have to pencil and ink a 24 page storybook in a week and a half! So we'll be using some of the previous art I did for the PR's and someone at Disney is coloring it since it was pushed up on the dates.

Anyway, there will be more Alfie! And I'll be at Wizard World Philly at the end of May as well if any of you guys stop by!

Yeah, I hear ya, it's crunch time here at school, so sleep isn't really a necessity anymore. Ill try and round up some of my friends to go to Wizard World, cuz I'd definately like to go if possible.
